This research assessed stakeholders’ perspectives of Integrated Catchment Management (ICM) concept in Ward 19 of Zaka district (within Chiredzi sub-catchment). The research utilized questionnaires, semi-structured interviews with key informants and a focus group discussion. Results showed that the ICM term was not a common term and its definition was not agreed to by the majority of the questionnaire respondents. The majority of the respondents agreed that their community was not ICM compliant and this was exacerbated by the Fast Track Land Reform Program. The study concluded that policy formulation must follow a participatory approach and should follow a combination of top down and bottom up approaches for the success of these ICM policies. There is also need for behavioural change among the stakeholders.
