The electrical conductivity of the organic dye Alizarin Carmine has been analysed by observing the variation in the dielectric constant with the temperature. The Alizarin Carmine pellet used for the analyses has colloidal graphite electrodes. The measurement has been done using the Motwane measuring unit model BM- 100 B at the frequency of 1 KHz. Change in the temperature was observed at -95°C that decreases the dielectric constant sharply and remain continuous at 100°C which also decreases the spontaneous polarization property of the material. This organic substance (which is of anthracene type) shows the behavior of ferroelectricity with the temperature variation. On cooling, the compound attained the transition from paraelectric to ferroelectric phase with a hysteresis.
