In this research the effect of the electromagnetic field on the efficiency of the removal of the suspended solids from wastewater resulting from the biological treatment in Al-Rustamia treatment plant (Baghdad/ Iraq) was studied. Different parameters (flow rate, contact time, exposure distance, pH, temperature and electromagnetic field) were investigated that have an impact on the removal efficiency of the suspended solids and the best conditions for each parameter were applied. A mathematical expression for the best relationships among all parameters that may affect the removal of the suspended solids from wastewater was constructed and found that the removal efficiency of the suspended solids is related inversely with temperature and flow rate and is related directly with contact time, exposure distance, pH and electromagnetic field.
