The study examined cassava production enterprise among famers in Anambra State, Nigeria. The specific objectives of the study were to: identify socio-economic characteristics of cassava farmers, ascertain major sources of information used by the farmers, determine profitability of cassava production among the farmers, ascertain the extent of use of cassava varieties available to farmers and identify constraints to cassava production in the State. Multi-stage sampling technique was used to select a sample size of eighty (80) famers. Interview schedule was used for data collection. Frequency, mean score and gross margin analysis were used in data analysis. The results showed that majority (67.7%) of the famers was females, majority (68.8%) was full time cassava farmers and the mean age was 37.7years. Fifty percent of the farmers sourced information on cassava production from fellow farmers while the percentage gross margin for the cassava farms was 627.5% which implies that cassava farmers had higher profitability as a result of low variable cost attached to cassava production. Greater percentage (35%) of the respondents adopted TMS 30572 and 30017 cassava varieties. High cost of input (M = 2.91), bad road network (M=2.58), poor marketing structure (M=2.55) and time of planting (M=2.36) were perceived constraints to cassava production in the study area. It is recommended that the state government in conjunction with the local government should intensify effort to provide agro-inputs to farmers, rehabilitate the existing roads and markets in order to have easy access to transport and marketing of cassava produce.
