The study empirically investigated the link between supply chain risk management practices and service delivery performance outcomes in the Zimbabwean public sector. In order to have a full understanding of the study phenomena, the study was based on the dynamic risk management theory. Positivism was selected for this study since the researcher wanted to conduct the study in a value-free manner and produce highly reliable results. The study population consisted of 710 employees and managers from selected 13 government entities based in Harare Zimbabwe. The unit of analysis was employees and managers who worked in procurement departments. Primary data was collected using questionnaires as the research instrument. The collected data was edited, coded and entered into SPSS version 26. The data was analysed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The survey study concluded that various supply chain risk management practices positively affected service delivery performance outcomes in the Zimbabwean public sector. In addition, the study found that supply chain risk management practices such as supply chain risk identification, supply chain risk assessment, supply chain risk mitigation and supply chain risk monitoring and control positively affected public sector service delivery performance outcomes in terms of efficiency of services, meeting government targets, reduced costs and high-quality services. Findings from the study provided empirical evidence on the interrelation of supply chain risk management practices. The study also conveyed various insights into managerial practices to enhance operational performance and supply chain performance through proper supply chain risk management, social sustainability practices, and supply chain integration.
