This paper discusses the contemporary global problems with emphasis on domination as the root of other world challenges. Recent studies on world history focuses on either poor leadership or poor infrastructural facilities as the banes of underdevelopment in third world countries. This paper shows that, the nature of relations among countries is the major factor that influence other challenges in the world. More specifically, the paper demonstrates that, imperialism, with its variant manifestations of domination, colonialism and neocolonialism is the major factor that create other problems, both at local and at global scenes. Using largely secondary sources, the paper maintains that, third world countries have been facing series of problems that include poverty, poor infrastructures, poor leadership, corruption and so on. These challenges, according this paper, have foreign influences. Therefore, the nature of relations among countries at the global level has to be altered radically for peace and development to reign in the underdeveloped countries.
