Cross disciplinary borrowings help to make a discourse more picturesque and easy for analysis and discussion. Wordiness is reduced; the mind and senses become easily absorbed in the flow of discourse. In this topic, the David Easton systems’ theory (used mainly in Political Science) is adopted to show the inputs, influences and forms of cultural imperialism Isekiri had on the growth of Benin as an empire – i.e. the third Bini dynasty. Methods other than oral tradition and archaeology are applied in this study. Linguistics – a most silent data of historical analysis – is the major anchor of this research. Nevertheless, oral tradition, written texts, archaeological data, rigorous analysis of cultural influences etc, are used to augment the traditions to show some vistas in Benin history which till this time have left scholars of History and cultural anthropologists in the dark. Yes! There was a third Bini dynasty! Rigid scientific explanation is given for each cultural element presented.
