The studies on effects of Eucalyptus globulus on seed germination and growth potential of Crotalaria exaltataseedswere conducted in Gullele Botanic Garden. For the germination test, the stock solution was prepared from leaves of E. globulus that collected from the garden site and inserted in boiled water for 24 hours. By serial dilution 25%, 50%, 75% of treatments were prepared. Seeds were pre-treated with boiled water and placed for 24 hours in a beaker. Thirty seeds were located on each Petri dish that overlaid on Whatmann paper with three replicates. Distilled water was used as a control. The highest mean germination percentage were found in the control (92.22%) and (83.33%) at room temperature and 30 0C respectively. The lowest mean germination percentage 70% and 56.67% were obtained under treatments of 100% E. globulus leave extracts at room temperature and 30 0C respectively. Treatments at room temperature confirmed higher mean germination time and lower mean germination rate than treatments of the 30 0C. Treatments with the control water revealed a relatively greater height and leaf number of the seedlings than the treatments of E. globulus extracts. All treatments were statistically significant at (P<0.001) for all the germination and growth studies.
