Millipedes have crucial role in environment especially in forest eco system, unfortunately we have very poor knowledge about it and we think its harmful invertebrate and venomous but it’s not, simultaneously we need to conserve this; therefore, it is important to understand about these are eco - friendly and best decomposer in forest eco system. The main objective of this work to update species descriptions and Morphological features of identified millipede species from the study area. This research was carried though to take a look at the diversity and distribution of pill millipedes in part of KMTR of Southern Western Ghats of Tamilnadu. A total of four pill millipede samples Arthrosphaera brandtii (Humbert, 1865), Arthrosphaera dalyi (Pocock, 1895), Arthrosphaera hendersoni (Pocock, 1895), Arthrosphaera magna (Attems, 1936) belonging to order Sphaerotheriida and family belongs to Arthrospharidae also of four genera were annotate from the forest and tropical of KMTR of Southern Western Ghats, Tamilnadu. These studies were reporting that, further research would much improve the pill millipede checklist and conserve that. In this present research was established each millipedes’ morphological features for accurate identification. These were identified based on the valid references and keys. It is recommended to develop a policy on the millipede species management conservation and regeneration to the diversity rates of millipedes and develop the updated documents of millipedes. Typical report will help to researchers to identification of millipedes and know their distributions.
