Design of e-Laboratory To Support National Education in Rural Schools Using Synchronization Distributed System

Semuil Tjiharjadi

A good education would require good and complete laboratories facilities, it will help students’ understanding of real world condition. How to provide various laboratory in different levels, is a main challenge of education. Modern schools in big cities do not have this problems. They have money and good access to build these kind of laboratories. But how can we build the laboratories in rural schools? Most of them, don’t have capability and access to build these laboratories. University is the next level of education, have challenge to help and solve this problems. they have many facilities that can share with them. Only because of long distance, university can not provide the good tools and good tutors. University need a long distances access for rural schools to access laboratories’ facilities. University can build e-laboratory, so they can connect to internet and access the e-laboratory. It will provide any students to access e-laboratories anytime and anywhere. The problem is how to maintain a good internet connection for rural schools that don’t have good internet connection. The issues are availability and unstable internet connection. One of the solution is to design a network system that can run in unstable internet connection. This paper delivered synchronization distributed system that can create communication between distributed servers. There are two kinds of synchronization distributed systems, the first one is talking about how to develop more durable distributed system, and the other is focus on cheaper communication compare to online system. The second approach is one of the most suitable technologies to support e-library development for rural education; the research of this technology has been proven of cheaper communication cost compare to online systems.
