The study aimed at assessing electronic resource utilization among postgraduate students of Egerton University, Kenya. Objectives included: to determine the point of access of e-resources by postgraduate students of Egerton University; to establish the frequency of e-resources use by postgraduate students of Egerton University. The target of the study was registered postgraduate students (92) of Egerton University. Data was collected through questionnaire. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings of the study showed that the use of e-resources impacts greatly on the postgraduate students’ research and academic works. From the study he findings showed that this generation students have accepted e-resource as a tool for accessing reliable and relevant information for research and education work. From the findings, students preferred to access e-resources from university computer lab and the library. The findings indicated that most students use e-resources twice daily and on a weekly basis. The study revealed that e-resources were majorly used by students for studying and research work. E-resources have great benefits to the university since it enables students to access current information to cater for their different needs. E-resources use awareness by librarians’ should be maximized in the university to make it more beneficial and effective to students.
