It's hard to overstate how helpful social networking sites have been for research libraries. Because of the spread and use of information technology in university libraries, users' expectations, what the library has to offer, and the roles of library staff have all changed. The study's overarching goal was to gauge the extent to which library staff at academic libraries in Pakpatan and Sahiwal City, Pakistan, are conversant with and at ease with social media. The method of descriptive surveying was used to obtain these findings. Sixty different library employees made up the sample. A questionnaire was used to compile the data. Descriptive statistics were used for data analysis. The survey found that most library workers promote the services and materials at their institution through Facebook and WhatsApp. But there are big problems with using social media, like not having enough access to the internet, having an unreliable power supply, and not having enough tools for social media. Many suggestions were made as a result, such as making sure there is internet connectivity in every library office and that librarians always have access to consistent electricity.
