In this paper, we have explored the feasibility of using RSS (rank set sampling) in improving the estimates of population mean under Horticultural surveys in comparison to SRS ( simple random sampling) . Theoretical and simulation study is presented. It appears that rank set procedure results in reduction of standard errors thus provide more efficient estimates than simple random sampling under Horticultural Surveys using the same sample size.
