Abstract
Self-regulation is a popular theoretical application into discussing the second language (L2) learning efficacy. Students apply a variety of strategies to regulate their learning processes. In order to explore students’ self-regulatory learning strategies, this study assigned a 3-minute English introduction for the freshmen of the sport college students and observed their process of completing the task. Students should follow the skeleton of introductory draft, and practice for two weeks. The tested students should give a 3-minute introduction on the stage with a fluently English speaking skill. This study observes the process of preparation for the introduction, and records the strategies students used during the period. The study collects the self-regulation strategies for these students and categorizes these strategies into the control strategies field of self-regulation. In the conclusion, the study indicates the practice of these self-regulatory strategies that triggers the English learning more efficient and can make contributions to tvhe later research.
