Abstract

The GIS and remote sensing based assessment of the study area reveals that the city is still juvenile and there is some chance to save it from the adverse impact of urbanization, popularly described as sprawl.
Key words: Land-use, land-cover, urbanization, GIS, remote sensing, urban sprawl.
