Abstract

We have developed an efficient, cost effective, and high-throughput RNA isolation method for whole blood. By optimizing the blood processing steps and using the MagMAXÔ-96 platform from Applied BiosystemsÒ for high-throughput RNA isolation, we were able to isolate high quality and quantity RNA from whole blood using a simple and cost effective protocol that may be useful on a variety of blood samples.
