Solid Waste is unwanted materials generated from different sources. The objective of the study was exploring major solid waste and management in Wolkite town. The data was collecting using primary data through questionnaires, structure and semi-structured interviews, and field observations. The analysis of this work was carried out using quantitative description. Data on frequency distribution of solid waste in Wolkite Town and population growth responsible for highly increasing rate of solid wastes. The sources and components of solid waste identify, types and the quantity of solid waste disposed, methods of solid waste dispose, impacts of poor waste management in the study area is a serious health hazards and this leads to the spread of infectious diseases. And their release into the surrounding environment that enhances serious environmental challenges in order to accomplish these objectives, the study use primary data source.
