This paper reviews the importance of grammar, meaning, clear expression and organization of ideas in writing. It shows that these important components are interrelated that must be taken into consideration in other to ensure quality of undergraduates’ writing. The paper finally reveals that collaborative writing process improves students’ writing quality in grammar, meaning clear expression and organization of ideas. This strategy can be adopted as an alternative method to the traditional method of teaching.
